SSC CGL 2025 notification out: 17,727 posts across Group B and C, last date April 18

The Staff Selection Commission has released the official notification for the Combined Graduate Level Examination 2025, announcing 17,727 vacancies across Group B and Group C posts in various central government ministries and departments. The notification was released on the SSC’s official website, ssc.gov.in, on Monday.
Eligible candidates — graduates from a recognised university — can apply online until April 18, 2026. The application fee is ₹100 for general category candidates, with no fee for women, SC, ST, and Ex-servicemen applicants.
The largest number of vacancies are in the Income Tax department (3,204 posts), followed by the Central Secretariat Service (2,876 posts) and the Central Bureau of Narcotics (1,567 posts). Posts include Tax Assistant, Upper Division Clerk, Sub-Inspector in CBI, and Inspector in Central Excise.
The Tier 1 computer-based examination is scheduled for June 2026. The SSC has said results will be declared within 45 days of the exam. Candidates can submit only one application per notification and must ensure they meet the specific educational and physical eligibility criteria for the posts they apply for.
